Tweet Tweet Tweet

I love that.
And I love her.
So, to start the weekend, here's a little Rosanne Cash, singing a song written by her father Johnny Cash, at a tribute to Johnny Cash.

Miss M? Consider Yourself Booked

Although, by the time marriage equality comes to South Carolina she may be too old to remember the words to any song and I may be too old to remember I booked her to sing at my nuptials!

Just A Thought On The Weiner

"Borrowed' from Joe.My.God.
Well, we've all heard the news by now that it was actually Anthony Weiner's weiner that was TwitPic', and not by a hacker, but by Anthony Weiner himself. And a lot of folks are calling it a silly scandal, and it is, but I keep wondering why? Why he did it, that is; why anyone does it. And what have we learned:
  • Nothing is private anymore. Ever. Every picture you pout on the web becomes the property of the universe and could, and probably will, turn up at the most inopportune time. Especially when they are pictures of your body parts, underwear'd or not.
  • Men love to send pictures of their crotch, Calvin Klein Covered or not, as kind of a Hello there. What is it about Cotton Covered Bangers and Mash, er, Meat and Potatoes, er, Cock and Balls, that says, I wanna send this to a woman I don't actually know but I've "talked" to online?
  • When you get caught, especially in this day and age, don't lie. You're going to get caught again, and make us suspect every single word that comes out of your mouth.
  • Take a minute, before you email that picture, or Tweet it or Facebook it, or whatever else you might do with it, and ask yourself if you'd send it to your family, or place it in a lovely frame and display it in your home. If the answer is No, then Don't.Do.It. Unless you plan on explaining it to your family, your children, your spouse, your boss, or your country, sometime in the future.
I used to have such high hopes for Anthony Weiner. I loved his snark and sarcasm, and his way of calling out the GOP for being exactly who they are, The Party Of The Rich Only. But now, I wonder. I'll be taking everything he says with a grain of salt right now. See, Tweeting your Brief Bulge isn't a crime, I think; and it isn't wrong, per se. But it does say  a lot about your character when, as a married man, you feel the need to share your privates with strangers.
And while I seriously hope Anthony Weiner can get past this, and seriously hope he never shows his weiner in public again, it saddens me a little that we're becoming a world where this is to be expected. I seriously hope Lizz Winstead is wrong.

Just A Thought: SHUT! UP!

Sarah Palin.
What makes you think--and I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you actually do think--that showing the picture of a dead bin Laden is gonna makes things better in the world? That it is in any way "part of the mission?

What makes you think that those people that choose to fly planes into our buildings because they hate Americans, are now suddenly gonna bow and scrape and say, "Oops, sorry. Never mind." once we show their leader with a gaping hole in his head?

You self-centered narcissistic unintelligent amoral bitch.

Killing Osama bin Laden was a good thing. Good for American morale that the perpetrator of 9/11 was finally punished for his evil. And good for the rest of the world's morale to see that justice can be served. Justice.

But where is there justice in showing the world this man's body? It will only serve to make his minions more vigilant in punishing this country. It will only serve to make their view of America, and Americans, the popular view. That we killed a man, danced in the streets, and then printed up his picture for millions of people to blog about and Facebook "Like" and Tweet about.

You are a complete moron. Every single day that passes, you get further and further from being a potential candidate for president; and let's face it, you half-term-quitter, you were never really getting close anyway.

The difference between you and Obama, besides about a hundred IQ points, an education, a brain, and a heart, is compassion, and understanding. He understands that showing that picture serves no good. He has compassion for the dead man even though the dead man showed us no compassion. He understands that showing that picture will only feed the anti-American frenzy of the terrorists, not make them turn tail and run.

He thinks. You don't

So, seriously, Mrs. Palin, Shut.The.Fuck.Up.

Bret Easton Ellis Can Suck It, Too

Oh, you stepped in something else, asshat.
You'd think an author would think twice before publishing his little tirades
of homophobia. You'd think a human being wouldn't find making a joke out
of HIV  to be a 'novel' thing to do. You'd think Bret Easton Ellis wasn't some
has-been hack looking for a little more attention.
Asshat.
He and Kobe should do their "I'm A Dick And I'm Sorry" Tour together.

Stupid Twits

from The Hollywood Reporter:

As many of you may know by now, comedian Gilbert Gottfried was fired as the Aflac spokesperson after his crude Tweets about the Japan earthquake. Well, he won't be the first--or last--celebrity to post some ridiculous Twittage, so here now, from The Hollywood Reporter, are their...
Top Ten Most Stupid Hollywood Tweets:

1. Gilbert Gottfried:
After the Japanese earthquake and tsunami, he Tweeted:
"I just split up with my girlfriend, but like the Japanese say, 'They'll be another one floating by any minute now.'"
And then he was fired.
Asshat!

2. 50 Cent:
Tweeting on the tsunami that was headed to the West Coast on Friday:
"Wave will hit 8am them crazy white boys gonna try to go surfing."
This one isn't rude, or really stupid, it's just kinda dumb.
And lame.

3. Charlie Sheen:
The day before he was fired from Two and a Half Men:
"fastball. the trolls are foaming from their toothless holes. rumor mill abundant with evil gossip. mainstream heretics smirking."
CrazySayWhat?
Seriously, it looks like, if someone isn't writing down what he should say, it's all gibberish.

4. Kanye West:
"An abortion can cost a ballin' n-- up to 50gs maybe a 100. Gold diggin' b---es be getting pregnant on purpose. #STRAPUP my n---s!"
Apparently lots of people stopped following this asshat after this particular tirade.
And with good reason.

5. Hills star Spencer Pratt:
After a contentious appearance on the Today show (followed by Al Roker Tweeting that he and ex wife Heidi Montag were on "minute 11 of their 15 minutes of fame"), Pratt attacked the anchor:
"Do you always look like your about to die? How old are you 97? You should retire asap- No one would even know?"
Douchebag.
That's all.

6. Scott Baio:
He posted an unflattering photo of Michelle Obama and wrote:
"WOW He wakes up to this every morning."
He followed that 20 new messages defending himself.
He received death threats.
For being stupid.

7. Paris Hilton:
"No, no, I didn't go to England; I went to London."
[sidenote: this one is my favorite]
[additional sidenote: i found this picture accompanying an article where Paris Hilton says she is not stupid.]
You can make this shiz up.

8. Bow Wow:
Apparently, he's suggesting that he was drunk driving and revealing his exact location to potential police officers following his tweets:
"Face numb im whippin the lambo. Tispy as f*k. Just left @livmiami. Im f**ked up!!! Ohhhh damn. Y i drive the lambo. Chris might have to drive after next spot."
Don't drink and drive and Tweet, apparently.

9. Jessica Simpson:
"Sometimes learning the language in my head can be just as hard as communicating with someone foreign. alone time on flights get me everytime."
Wow!
She's like Charlie Sheen.
Without the hookers, cocaine and guns.

10. Mary J. Blige:
"Why is that people always try to understand estimate my intelligents [sic]?! They should never do that!"
Mary, Mary, Mary.
I love your music, but, c'mon, grrr, get a spellchecker.
