Michele Bachmann is running for president on a platform of crazy, misinformed, pandering, and downright lying.
I mean, we all know that, right?
Well, all of us except for those Teabaggers to who she panders the most. Whatever the 'Baggers say they want, Michele just repeats it ad nauseum like it was her own brilliant idea. One of the 'Baggers biggest complaints, besides, well, everything else, is that government is too much in their business, and they want less government, and less government control.
So Michele says, Hey! I want that, too, and I'm just the one to give it to you.
Um........liar.
See, back on November 5, 2009, when Bachmann and her Hounds Of Hell saw an opportunity for her to run for--and ultimately lose--president, she wanted to hold a Tea Party for her minions. And on that day, thousands of 'Baggers descended on the Minnesota state capitol to vent their anger over many things, from health care reform--even though it might benefit them most of all--and big government.
Sounds like a lovely day, right? i mean, if you're into listening to a Crazy Eyed Moron speak.
But her masses of Teabagging activists gathered and ranted, meandered and chanted..."Kill the bill! Kill the bill!"...and waved their signs--many of which were unfortunately misspelled--and had no idea that the very government that they were protesting, had paid for the event.
At the request of their Leader, Michele Bachmann.
According to House expense reports, Bachmann and three of her kin, er, conservative GOP colleagues--Tom Price of Georgia, Steve King of Iowa, and Todd Akin of Missouri--each paid $3,407.50 that day to a sound and stage company called National Events, apparently for the sound system used at the rally.
Nice that they could do that, you know, pay for the rally. Except they didn't.
The money came from the Members' taxpayer-funded office accounts, despite House rules prohibiting the use of these funds for political activities. Michele Bachmann's office insists the expense was a proper use of official funds because they called the event a "press conference." Press conferences can be funded from official accounts, but aren't press conferences designed for, um, the press.
Not at Bachmann's Tea Party.
Her press conference took no questions from the press.
Her press conference opened with a prayer.
Her press conference included the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance.
And her delighted throng of 'Baggers paid for it.
A few days earlier, Bachmann appeared on Fox News--naturally--and appealed to Teabagger activists to come to Washington DC for her event, promising to help them lobby Congress against the bill: "I'm asking people to come to Washington, D.C., by the carload. I'd love to have every one of your viewers join me so that we can go up and down through the halls. Find Members of Congress, look at the whites of their eyes and say, 'Don't take away my health care.'"
Now, did she doing anything legally wrong in using taxpayer funds to have her Tea Party. Sadly, no, because, although House rules prohibit the use of official resources for political purposes, the definition of what is political is murky and House "Members often have discretion in determining whether an event will be 'political' or 'official.'"
Still, while it might not have been legally wrong, I wonder how the Teabaggers feel, knowing that their champion for less government involvement and lower taxes, used their tax money to hold a rally? Did Bachmann tell them? Of course, not, because Michele Bachmann wouldn't know the truth if Mama Grizzly Bore delivered it to her on a dog sled.
Hopefully, though I seriously doubt it, Teabaggers will remember this when they begin voting in the primaries. The woman who says she wants to ease the burden of taxpayers uses taxpayer money to promote herself and her causes.
In the end, I guess, you get what you pay for.

Trump Wants Your Vote, Yet He Doesn't Vote Himself
Donald Trump says he's considering running for president, while I think he's just stroking his over-inflated comb-over. But what's most interesting about all this is that Donald Trump, Mister Teabagger Darling, Mister God Loves America, Mister Gays Aren't Equal, Mister Birther, hasn't voted in any primary election for more than twenty-one years.
At least according to the folks who would know, the New York City Board of Elections.
He last voted in a primary way back in 1989, when Rudy Giuliani beat businessman Ronald Lauder, and then he took twenty-one years off. Records also show that one Donald Hump, er, Trump skipped the 2002 general election, when Republican incumbent, Governor George Pataki defeated Carl McCall.
Yet Trump insists he's voted in every general election.
Of course, he also insists the president wasn't born in this country. He also insists that the Obama administration and campaign must have paid off every single journalist in the world, including the "journalists" at FoxNews, to keep that secret. He also insists that Barack Obama didn't write both the books that Obama says he authored.
Donald Trumps insists: "You're going to pay a big price because you're wrong. I have records that I voted and so does the Board of Elections ... I signed in at every election."
Then he had his lawyer defend his voting practices. But then his lawyer also said, that while Trump has always voted, he perosnally has no idea to which party Trump had belonged to in previous years.
Like I said, this is all to stroke his massive comb-over.

Quinn Matley Is A Liar...The Worst Kind
I'm sure you all read the story of Quinn Matley, who said he was burned on his hand by a hot piece of metal, simply because he's gay. A hate crime, no? No, it seems that the story isn't true, and now Quinn Matley has been charged by police in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, for filing a false police report.
This disgusts me.
How many gay men and women, and men and women simply assumed to be gay, have been attacked, beaten, and killed? And how many wingnut politicians say we don't need Hate Crimes legislation? How many people call it 'special rights' because every crime is a hate crime?
And then we have this young gay man, making up a story about being attacked; about a hate crime; about being persecuted for his sexual orientation. When people like Quinn Matley make up stories about being attacked for being gay, they diminish the attacks on every other man or woman who was brutalized for being gay, or being assumed to be gay.
Hey Quinn Matley? Think about Joshua Esskew [HERE] who had a beer bottle thrown at his head, and was beaten by eight strangers.
Hey Quinn Matley? Think about that nameless couple in North Carolina who had their house set on fire [HERE].
Hey Quinn Matley? Think about the victims of a gay bashing too terrified to have their names released [HERE].
Hey Quinn Matley? Think about Matthew Shepard [HERE] beaten and murdered for being gay.
Hey Quinn Matley? Think about José Sucuzhañay, who, in fact wasn't gay, just assumed to be gay [HERE].
Hey Quinn Matley? Think about Kieran Daly [HERE] who was beaten by two marines on the streets of Savannah.
I could go on and on but it hurts too much. Go on up to the top of the page and type in 'hate crime' and click search. You'll see.
I hope Quinn Matley gets punished to the fullest extent of the law. i hope he gets some jail time, or, failing that, expelled from school. And and I hope he spends a great deal of time thinking about the men and women who have been attacked for being gay, and wondering just what they think of him now,.
Because I'm sure that those men and women, like me, don't think very much of Quinn Matley at all.

That's Our Nikki: Lying On Job Applications
Let's be clear: South Carolina Senator Vincent Sheheen--who, for the record, lives in Smallville--lost his bid to become South Carolina's governor. Narrowly.Lost. And that lost must ache a bit, so it's no surprise that he attacks Nikki Haley every chance he gets. What isn't surprising, however, is that every attack, every criticism he has of Transparent Nikki, is spot on.
Speaking to a group of Spartanburg Democrats, he reiterated the story floating around the state that then-state Representative lied on her application for a job at Lexington Medical Center. Sheheen is the first prominent South Carolina elected official to directly accuse Haley of deceit on the controversial application.
Nikki Haley's spokesmoron, Rob Godfrey, responded with a typical non-response to Vincent Sheheen via email: "It's sad to see that Senator Sheheen hasn't gotten over his defeat."
Oh, honey, he's over it. He's just calling out more and more of Nikki Haley's lies and deceits. He isn't over that.
Sheheen's accusations against Haley came during a wider series of remarks casting Nikki Haley as just the latest scandal-plagued Republican involved in a years-long wave of corruption in the state Capitol:
"What's happening in Columbia right now is that we are seeing corruption on a scale that we have not seen in the Legislature since Lost Trust and statewide in the last hundred years...Think about what's going on: House members arrested for criminal domestic violence, House members arrested for not paying their taxes, statewide officials going to jail for drug dealing a few years ago, a governor with over 60 ethics violations and a current governor who didn't pay her taxes either, who's holding secret meetings without letting the press know, lying on employment applications — that is what we've been reduced to in South Carolina."
Yes, we all know Nikki Haley has a problem paying her taxes, unless the state threatens to take her property, but what about that job application?
Vincent Sheheen:
"Either the governor's not telling the truth or somebody filled out her application...[and]...I think that it's hard to believe that she didn't fill out that application. I think any reasonable person wonders why she is making the kind of statements she has."
So, what about the job application? Well, on Nikki Haley's August 2008 application to become a fundraiser for the Lexington Medical Center, she listed her qualifications for the job--she had none--and her previous work experiences and salaries. Columbia newspaper, The State, reported that on Haley's application for the medical center position she stated she'd earned $125,000 a year, far more than the $22,000 she claimed on her Federal income Taxes.
In her efforts to be A Transparent Liar, Nikki Haley, and her Hounds Of Hell, have repeatedly denied that she provided the $125,000 figure on the application. And, to be fair, some pages of the application carry her signature, but the page regarding previous salary does not.
So, does that mean Nikki Haley fills out applications or does she have people do that for her? Or, does she partially fill out applications, and then have people fill out the rest for her so she can say she didn't lie?
Either way, one thing is transparent about Nikki Haley: she lies. Or she has someone lie for her.
