Rick Santorum, on Dan Savage's "attacks" on him:

"Whether it’s Rick Santorum or Michele Bachmann, it’s the Left making fun of someone who believes in the values that built America. It believes in traditional marriage. How outrageous. How bigoted. How hateful that you actually believe that, that, you know, raising children and, and, and families with mothers and fathers is something to be encouraged. Bishop David Allen Richey, saying he fears gay people more than wars and natural disasters:

"I'm not afraid of the many disasters that are happening simultaneously in our world. I'm not afraid of all the wars that are currently raging on almost every continent on the globe. The potential for nuclear accidents globally doesn't frighten me. What terrifies me are good men and women saying and doing nothing when politicians we voted into office are making moral laws that contradict everything a Holy God stands for. [snip] If someone desires to indulge in bestiality, anal sex, homosexuality or any other perverted sexual act, why does it have to be made a law? More important, why have more than 50 percent of Americans bought into the lie that it has to be legalized?"


I love how these Catholic Bishops are always comparing homosexuality to bestiality and other perverted sexual acts, but generally leave raping children out of the mix.

And marriage will be legalized for all Americans, Bishop, and you'll be stuck on the sidelines whimpering and moaning and living in the past.

In one breath you tell the GOP to get out of people's bedrooms, and then you open the door and walk right in with your anti-marriage equality stance.
If the GOP really wants to win an election, then the GOP needs to realize that fear isn't a way to get votes.
Actions speak louder than words.
They ought to shut up and get to work doing all the things they promised last November that they haven't done a thing about since.

Of course, this is the same Ric....Frothy Mix, that has said in the past that same-sex marriage is akin to having sex with dogs, and that it's "common sense" to keep gays from marrying and adopting children, who wants to reinstate the ban on gays in the military, and has said that gays shouldn't have the "privilege of government benefits" offered to heterosexual couples.

He says all that, and the says that he isn't a homophobe.

Oh, but'ch'are, Blanche, but'ch'are a homophobe.

As for his desire to federally ban marriage equality, he said

"I support a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage. I believe that marriage should be a consistent thing across the country. Hey Frothy, look at the recent polls where support for marriage equality is on the rise. I don't think there will ever be a Constitutional Amendment banning same-sex marriage, but I am working on an amendment banning you from opening your ignorant yap.

And so we are a very inclusive organization...We're going to continue to monitor, we're going to continue to assess, and see how that develops."

During the Eagle Forum Collegians 2011 Summit with Phyllis Schlafly, Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler of Missouri told ll those strapping young conservatives why they should oppose marriage equality, by trotting out that old chestnut that legalizing gay marriage is akin to legalizing pedophilia, that legalizing gay marriage would be like legalizing incest.

That legalizing gay marriage is exactly like letting a three-year-old drive a car.

But here's Anita, er, Vicky, in her won words: 

"Some people say, why does it matter to you as a government official? I care about someone else, I'm committed, I should be able to marry. Well, think about it. That starts you down the road to opening up licensure to basically meaning that the license would mean nothing if you let everybody with that standard. For instance, if you just care about somebody and you have a committed relationship, why not allow one man and two women, or three women to marry? ....Why not allow group marriage? .... Why not allow an uncle to marry his niece? Why not allow a 50-year-old man to marry a 12-year-old girl if they love each other and they’re committed? .... It's not a right of anybody--of a 3-year-old to be able to drive a car."

Well, you can imagine that these comments sent Little Miss Vicky into damage control, and when asked to clarify her remarks, or if they were taken out of context, she said that they were indeed misquotes.

She meant to say letting thirteen-year-olds drive cars, not three-year-olds.

Bryan Fischer, Executive Bigot of the American Family Association believes that the repeal of DADT will actually lead to the LGBT community fighting for it's reinstatement.

See, Bry, and he loves to be called Bry when he ALLEGEDLY snuggles with his non-sexual life partner, says the repeal of DADT will cause fewer gays to enlist because we only enlist so we can use being gay as an excuse to get out of the military, and because we don't really want to be soldiers anyway.

Which makes perfect sense. To morons.

Then he says that the repeal of DADT will cause straight men and women to stop enlisting because they don't want to serve with the gays.

But, Bry, you said the gays would stop enlisting with the repeal of DADT so why would the straights mind serving if there are no gays in the military anymore?

Mel Gibson, on pleading "no contest" to ALLEGEDLY beating on Oksana Grigorieva:

"I was allowed to end the case and still maintain my innocence. It’s called a West plea and it’s not something that prosecutors normally allow. And I think her struggle to understand all this has helped many people struggle to understand gender reassignment. 

Tea Party Nation founder Judson Phillips, on his belief that Obama only killed bin Laden to help his reelection:

"Osama’s body should have not been immediately buried. We should have told everyone that the body was wrapped in pig fat before burial. Why? It is not just the visceral insult. It is sending a message. Contrary to what the politically correct say, Osama does represent the mainstream of Islam. By defiling the body, we say that you are not getting your 72 virgins. This should be the policy we have with every Islamic terrorist we capture. If you die, we are going to deny you paradise. Someone needs to get a calender and remember that our president is Barack Obama.
Someone needs to be told that w once said capturing, or even killing, bin Laden was not a priority.
Someone needs to be told that it was President Obama who gave the orders to take the terrorist down.
Failing that, someone needs to shut her moose hole.

The GOP can't even be bothered to admit that, under the Barack Obama administration, Osama bin Laden was taken out. In just over two years.

Second off, asshat, Americans might be worried about $5 a gallon gas, but so are you. The difference is, you're worried about how you can get in on those massive oil company profits and we're worrying about getting to work without going broke.

GLAAD president, Jarrett Barrios, on joining the NAACP in demanding that Sally Kern resign following her blatantly racist remarks:
