I painted these portraits of our dogs several years ago. I haven't shared them before and thought it might be nice to have a break from all the sewing posts!
This is Baxter and was actually painted for a graduate school assignment.
This one is Sadie (who has since passed) and was a gift for one of my husband's birthdays.
Now, the trick as to how I did them. I tried, but was unable to draw the dogs realistically enough...so I cheated. I enlarged a photo of each of them, printed it off, then lightly traced it onto the watercolor paper. After that, it was more like the old-fashioned paint by number. Shh-don't tell!
