So, it's the second day of summer, and a beach house is in order, right? And, if you're staying at the beach, why not stay in a seashell, after all, when in Rome.......

This house is crazy and curvy, inside and out, because it is made from a combination of concrete and found materials, both inorganic but also natural, like seashells and coral.
Instead of boring corners, each curve flows fluidly into the next to make room for, well, rooms, or, as the architetc-artist-designer-owner, Octavio Campo says, "a series of experiential spaces that mimic the infinitude of the fractals that form them."

And it's pretty.
Campo loves the tension between ‘art’ and ‘design’, with some parts of the house, like the spiked room being purely ornametal, while others, like a second floor balcony in the opening of the shell, being functional.
Staccks of mixed stone form curved fences that mirror the shell house, and the only real straight lines in the entire house are the doors and windows.
